The Harry S. Truman Little White House is a great stop for anyone interested in history. Located at 111 Front Street, the Little White house is an active US Presidential retreat open to the public. Many Presidents have stayed the the Little White house along with other official dignitaries, but Harry Truman is its namesake.
As you approach the Little White, you stroll along Truman Annex. This peaceful and treelined neighborhood is quiet and seems far from the hustle and bustle of Duval Street, but is really only a few blocks over. You can stroll the grounds, but the tour is really interesting.
If you are a big fan of Harry Truman, or just love history, you will enjoy the stories the guides tell as you move room to room in the home. Since this remains an active presidential retreat, no indoor photography is allowed.
If you have small children, there isn’t enough to keep them entertained, but middle school on up would appreciate the history associated with the home.
