Buttery Nipple Drink Recipe

This Buttery Nipple Drink Recipe makes the perfect shot, which is on the sweeter side.  This drink isn’t heavy on the alcohol but does provide a nice, warm undertone due to the butterscotch schnapps.  Enjoy this anytime of the year.

Step 1:

Pour the butterscotch liqueur into a shot glass then pour the Irish cream slowly over the top.  This is a layered drink, so we don’t want to stir or shake the ingredients before pouring into the shot glass.  The Irish cream will float to the top.  The concept is to have twice as much butterscotch liqueur as Irish cream.  Try chilling your shot glass for a nice touch.

Ingredients:

1 oz butterscotch schnapps

1/2 oz Irish cream

Variations:

This drink can be taken to a different level when you combine other flavors with this base.

Cherry Nipple

Using the basic recipe above top the drink with a cherry and float a splash of cherry liqueur onto of the Irish cream layer.

Alien Nipple

This one has a green tint and adds a tropical flavor:

1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps

1/4 oz Irish cream

1/4 oz melon liqueur

Peach Nipple

Substitute  peach schnapps for the butterscotch schnapps.  Make sure not to mix the ingredients so the Irish cream floats to the top.

2/3 oz peach schnapps

1/3 oz Irish cream

Golden Nipple

The cinnamon schnapps adds a nice festive fall touch.

1/2 oz cinnamon schnapps

1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps

1/2 oz Irish cream

Vodka Nipple

This version is made more like a traditional cocktail.  Combine all of the ingredients into a shaker and shake over ice.  Pour into a glass and enjoy.

1/2 oz vodka

1/2 oz Irish cream

1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps

1/2 oz coffee liqueur

Buttery Rum Nipple

Pour the ingredients into a glass filled with ice.  Serve with a stir stick which will let you combine the ingredients gently in the glass.

1 oz rum

1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps

1/2 oz Irish cream
