Join us as we chat with Tonya, General Manager, of the Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar. We learn all about her journey to Key West… and hear how much she really loves her job. Who wouldn’t? Living and working in Key West is a dream for a lot of folks, and Tonya gets to live the dream.
Did you know you that the Speakeasy Inn is one of the best deals not only on Duval but in all of Key West? Yep, Tonya and I talk all about the rooms, and what to expect as a guest. Hint… it includes rum.
Speaking of rum, did you know there are over 350 different kinds of rum to be found in The Rum Bar? The best part, you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy them. Not interested in rum (what??), how about a Rum Runner cocktail?
Rooms sell out pretty fast at the Speakeasy Inn but, if you are lucky enough to stay here, you will want to come back time and time again. You can check out the rooms, and availability by heading over to their website.
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Speakeasy and if you didn’t get a chance, check out my review/article all about the rooms, the breakfast and of course the rum. It really is a true hidden gem.
You will hear background noise, just a bit, while Tonya and I are talking. Our chat was bar side in The Rum Bar. They were preparing to open for the day, but you can hear how quiet the place is. When I say in the interview, as a guest, you get the place to yourself for the first part of the day, you really do.
We didn’t get a chance to talk all about the history attached to this place. It is on the Historic Walking Tour and I encourage you to check it my post all about Raul Vasquez and why there are rum and wine bottles in the gingerbread on the building.
Check out my chat with Tonya and learn all about The Speakeasy Inn and Rum Bar!
