Did you buy a bottle of peppermint vodka and now wonder how in the world you are going to use it? Well, here are four yummy ways you can enjoy peppermint vodka all year round.
Peppermint Cooler
For those warm summer days, try this cooler at your next picnic!
In a shaker, combine vodka, cranberry juice and lime juice. Shake over ice and pour into glass. Top off the glass with ginger ale and a lime slice.
4 oz Peppermint vodka
4 oz cranberry juice
1 oz lime juice
Ginger ale
Lime slice
Peppermint White Hot Chocolate
This drink will warm you up on a cool evening or winter day.
Heat milk, heavy cream and white chocolate until warm; be sure it’s warm enough to drink, but not boiling. Remove from heat and add vodka. Pour into cup and top with whipped cream and peppermint crumbles or a peppermint stick.
2 1/2 cups milk
2 cups heavy cream
2 tablespoons white chocolate; melted
1 oz peppermint vodka
Whipped cream
Peppermint candies or peppermint stick
Don’t want to make it all from scratch? Buy white hot chocolate mix (Land-o-Lakes has a white chocolate version which is very good) and then add the peppermint vodka and whipped cream. Quicker to make … and just as yummy.
Lemon Peppermint Spritzer
This is the perfect summer drink. Instead of plain old lemonade, try this instead.
Combine vodka and lemonade in a shaker; shake over ice. Pour into glass with lemon slices and top off with sparkling wine.
4 oz peppermint vodka
4 oz lemonade
Lemon slices
Sparkling wine
Mint Mocha
Who doesn’t love coffee and chocolate? This is the perfect combination with the peppermint vodka.
Heat milk, hot chocolate mix and coffee until warm; hot enough to drink, but not boiling. Remove from heat and add peppermint vodka. Pour into cup and top off with whipped cream and sprinkles.
2 cups milk
4 tablespoons hot chocolate mix
2 cups coffee
1 oz peppermint vodka
Whipped cream
Don’t want to make it all from scratch? Use a hot chocolate mix, but instead of making it with water add hot coffee. It’s an instant mocha! Then add the peppermint vodka and top off with the whipped cream.
